Dear Sir/Madam

I have been convicted into sham marriage in 2012, however, i didn't go to jail , only i spent 7 days in police station and then when i applied for Asylum been moved into accommodation for homeless people. I did DBS check in 2013 and nothing appears in it.

Now, after 5 years of Asylum and 1 year of ILR, i want to apply for British Citizenship.

I know I don't fulfill the requirement of good character, but is there any chance that i can get British citizen? Or do I need to wait until 2022 (10 years after been convicted to be able to apply).?

Any advice would be much appreciated
Fathi
