Employees must present their complaints over their employment rights to an independent judicial body known as an employment Tribunal. However, as in any other branch of the law, litigation is a last resort and client are always advised not to ignore other less formal solutions. Our solicitors can be called to represent client before their cases go to the employment tribunals, such preparing a letter before action normally seeking to avoid tribunal proceedings. However, if a claim is not settled, it will be necessary to being proceedings in the employment Tribunal where the judgement will be binding.

Time Limits on Employment Tribunal Claims
An application must be made within three months from the date the employment ended or the incident took place. The employment Tribunal will only accept claims outside of the time limit in exceptional circumstances.
