Hello, Please my 10 year old daughter and I are dependant family members of an EEA national (my dad) and my 5 years visa expires in Jan 2020. 1) Before Jan 2020, we need to apply for permanent stay (ILR) in the UK, please how much is the actual fee for applying for a 10 year old child and an adult like me? 2) I hear all person living in UK under EEA should fill a permanent residence/ qualified person forms before end of March 2019. Please does my daughter needs to pay GB65 as an and i also need to fill that forms? Thank you

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

I would need to consult with you to advise whether or not you are already eligible to apply for permanent residence. There will be a period where you will be able to use the new settlement system and the EEA regulations will still apply. This will continue after 29 March 2019 and therefore you do have some time to seek advice and ensure you make the correct applications for you and your daughter. There are advantages and disadvantages to the two systems. The new system has no fee and the old system has a fee of £65 per application. However if you would ultimately like to obtain British citizenship the new settlement system may not be the right one for you. I would strongly advise you seek some specific advice prior to making an application.
