Hello , I just wanted some clarity regarding when to apply for spouse visa extension. My wife was granted first spouse visa back on 11th March 2015 with 33 months visa expiring on 11th December 2017 & she arrived in UK on 29th March 2015 so my question is that do we apply for visa extension 28 days before 11th December 2017 ( visa expiry date ) OR do we apply 28 days before she has completed 30 months in UK which would be 29th September ( 30 months in UK ) ? Appreciate if you can help , Thank you.
Areas of Expertise:
Thank you for your enquiry.
The Immigration Rules require you and your wife to demonstrate that you have lived together in the UK since her last grant of Leave to Remain as a spouse (Rule E-LTRP.1.10.). We suggest you make an application 28 days before the expiry of her leave in order to ensure you meet the above requirement.
Please note there have been additional changes to the Rules since May 2017 and we suggest you contact us so that we can advise you in full.
Someone will be in touch with you shortly to see how we can help you further.
