I am a UK legal resident since 14 years with one spent conviction (2008) in my record. I applied for ILR on 10 years basis but refused due to my conviction and was told that my continuous period is broken due to my conviction. I was sentenced 5 months and served 2 and half month and after my release my visa was extended on 4 different occasions. I am in waiting for my hearing date.
Please advise :)

Dear Sir,

Many thanks for your enquiry.

The period spent in prison cannot be counted towards your lawful residence in the UK for the purpose of indefinite leave to remain based on 10 years long residence.

Our Immigration Solicitors will contact you shortly to discuss our matter further.
