i was granted Leave to Remain as a parent of british child in june 2017 ,I travelled to canada in september 2018 and during my stay here in canada I lost my cameroonian passport, I am worried because due to the political crisis in my country the cameroonian embassy in canada can only issue a new passport in febuary 2019.
will this be too late for me to come back and still qualify for the indefinite leave to remain in future?

Dear Madam,

Many thanks for your question.

When applying for ILR, you will be required to meet the residency requirements. Thus, you should not be out of the UK for more than 180 days in any given year. The home office may exercise their discretion in the even that you exceed this time frame.

Our solicitors will contact you shortly.
