My wife just last week banned from entering the United States due to a complete misunderstanding. We are currently hiring a US immigration lawyer to apply for a waiver so that her record can be cleared. In the meantime, she has been accepted to a University in the UK and must apply for a Student Visa soon since she begins her program there in September 2018. My wife does not intend to be a UK immigrant. All she needs is a UK Student Visa. Her desire is to be a US immigrant and join me (I'm a US citizen) there in the future. Will her status as ineligible for a US visa negatively affect her Student Visa application to the UK in any way?

Dear Sir,

Many thanks for your enquiry.

Your partners status as ineligible for a US visa is unlikely to affect her Student Visa application in the UK. In any event, we will need to asses your partner’s immigration history in further detail before we can advise on her application for a Tier 4 Student Visa in the UK.

Our immigration solicitors will contact you shortly.
