I was born in crown Kenya,1958. I got my BOC Passport in 1986 with status “Holder is subject to control under immigration act 1971”.I applied for SQV Scheme and I qualify for it in year 1989 but due to some personal issue I won’t able to travel and settled on that Scheme.I renewed my BOC Passport in 2015 and in return I received a British passport with status as “BRITISH CITIZEN”. My Son applied for British Passport, they said he is not eligible for the British passport as he was born in India and at the time of his birth, I was BOC.Now it's been 8 months, Mumbai HMPO had forwarded an email of HMPO - UK to my Son which states "I was issued with a BC and should have been BOC" and asked my son to forward it to me.1) I want to settle in the UK with my family? please advice
