Hi, I am running a Private limited construction company in India. My brother is a british citizen and doing contract work in Information technology. He is doing one or two contract in a year and primarily by himself alone. I am a civil engineer and I wish to expand his existing business and would like to apply under UK Entrepreneur Tier 1 visa. Can I qualify being a civil engineer and applying to do business in IT sector? Kindly confirm. Regards

In regards to your background experience in construction and civil engineering, if you can show the transferable skills you would have in managing a IT business in the UK then it may be possible for you to qualify under the genuineness test for Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa.
