Hi, Im Holder Of Settled Status For Year And Now Wish To Apply For Citizenship However, My Absence
Hi, I'm a holder of settled status for a year and now wish to apply for citizenship. However, my absence in the last 12 months exceeds 90 days (114 days to be exact) although I do work in the UK (but from home, due to pandemic), have UK address and my absence over a prolonged period was mainly one-off (79 days over summer this year). I meet the requirement of being absent less than 450 days in the last 5 days and didn't have such long absences before. I read that in case of absences between 100 to 180 days with all other requirements met, the caseworker can exercise discretion. Could you advise how likely that would be in my case?
