Hi My Grandmother And Mother Were Both Born In Northern Rhodesia Now Zambia In 1921 And 1947
Hi. My Grandmother and Mother were both born in Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia) in 1921 and 1947 respectively. Last year I applied for their birth certificates from the Zambian registrar and on my Mother's birth certificate it states my Grandmother's nationality as British. Would my Mother be regarded as British as well and would I have a claim to British citizenship through her? I was born in 1973 in South Africa.
