I'm a Russian citizen and I came to this country 1.5 years ago on a Spouse Visa and we got married. I still have 6 months before I can apply for an ILR, but I recently started suspecting that my husband might be cheating on me. I'm afraid of confronting him about it directly because he has violent tendencies. What will happen to my visa and immigration status if I divorce him now? Or should I just wait till I obtain my ILR and divorce him then?
