What English Language Test is required for Citizenship?

  • Posted on

I am a Polish citizen with a settled status. I would like to apply for citizenship. My question is - would my Cambridge First Certificate and Advanced Certificate in English be recognised/acceptable or will I need to take an additional language test ?

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

In order to make a valid application for Citizenship, you would need to hold English Language level B1 or above (unless exempt). You would need to check your certificate to determine whether this would be at the sufficient level. If you have a degree, masters or PhD taught in English, this will usually exclude you from the requirement. In the meantime, we  can provide you with further detailed information based on your individual circumstances. You can call us on 02039 599123 or contact us here
