What evidence can I provide for continuous residence?
Hello, I'm an EU citizen and recently got settled status. I intend to apply for British citizenship next year. I wanted to ask if, after the recent amendments to the Nationality and Borders Act, I am still required to submit evidence for every year that I have lived in the UK (p60, letter of employment etc) in the residence requirements section, or if the UAN of my settled status application will automatically serve as evidence? I read the AN guide on the government website and it says "If you are an EEA national, supplying evidence of your settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) will also normally meet this requirement. That also means you will not need to send evidence of what you were doing in the UK prior to being granted settled status." I have some missing p60s and I was wondering if a PAYE details record from HMRC showing start date and end date of my employments and tax paid would be accepted as evidence of residency? Thank you for your help,

Thank you for your enquiry. You will still need to provide 5 years of continuous residence in the UK in addition to your settled status to be on the safe side. PAYE records would likely count towards evidence to meet this requirement. For more information, call us on 02039 599123 or contact us here.
