The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has again called for the end of settlement scheme fees for EU nationals applying for settled status in the UK.
Back in December, it was announced that the Greater London Authority would pay the settlement scheme fees for any staff that are EU nationals. If the government does not scrap the settlement scheme fees, then the Greater London Group could end up with a very large bill given the number of EU employees
across the organization plus the numbers of EU staff employed by Transport for London and the Metropolitan Police.
