Can I switch from a visit visa to a skilled worker?

I am planning for a UK visit visa with my family. Is it possible that I would be able to change my visit visa to a work visa? Will I (with my family) be able to live in a rented house and my children would be able to go to school?

Unfortunately, an application to switch from a visit visa is likely to be unsuccessful. You would need to be allocated a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) for this to apply and usually this is done from overseas unless you are in the UK on a separate category such as a student visa or family visa.
