Hello, I Want To Ask Sth For My Friend He Went To Uk With Student Visa In Sept 2017 Chevening
Hello, I want to ask sth for my friend. He went to UK with student visa in Sept 2017 (Chevening scholarship) and in Oct 2018 he applied for asylum (still got student visa until jan 2019). He had part time work permit until jan 2019. they gave him residency card until dec 2020, it is written "work permitted" on it. he was working part time, but in april 2019, he received immigration bail, which says he is not allowed to work. So he quit his job. My question is, since he got this residency with "work permitted" and "student" phrases on it, can he work?? if not, why they did not give him a new card without work permit? He still did not get his interview invitation... Can his lawyer to something to speed uo the procedure?
