I Am Renting House With My Husband, We Moved In In Jan 2018 I Asked About Radon Testing Little While
I am renting a house with my husband, we moved in in Jan 2018. I asked about radon testing a little while after, and as the landlord had no idea if it was an issue we did a 3 month test via Radonova. The levels are 240, well above action level. I informed the landlord and told them we are very concerned but all they said is that they'll be moving back to the property soon and that they would let us know when. We have been breathing radon infested air for over 2 years and very upset that neither the landlord nor the agent is concerned. We were wondering if we can take legal action for negligence or get some sort of compensation for a potential health hazard. The house is in Somerset near the Mendips, a known radon rich area.
