I Have Been Renting The Same London Flat For Over 3 Years, The Lease One Year Lease That Has Been
I have been renting the same London flat for over 3 years, the lease is a one year lease that has been extended. The lease also has a 6 months break clause with 2 months notice. And rent is 6 months rent to be paid 2 months prior to the period. I gave my notice of intention to leave as per my lease but the landlord says he won’t refund me the money I paid in advance until after I have left the property. After I had made the payment I realised that I couldn’t continue renting a property from a landlord that has been unfair and unreasonable all along. And I need the money back I can use it towards securing another flat. Is there anything I can do to make him return the money before I leave?
