Hi I have settled status, do I need to keep living in the UK to keep it? As I work from home for a UK based company, can I do so by living in a UK country without loosing my status if I just show up for a visit once year in the UK?

You can remain outside of the UK for a period of 5 years. If you stay longer than this, you may loose your status. You should also note that absences may affect future applications such as naturalisation.
