Me, my brother and sister own a flat in London. My father helped paid for that flat but put us 3 as the owners. He is quite elderly and lives in that flat Now. He has a spare room and so a girl has moved in and rents the flat from him. Do we need to give her a contract? She is asking for one but which contract do we use? Does my father use a lodger contract, even though he’s not the owner?Do we need to give him power of attorney, to give him the same rights as a landlord? Or does he already have the same rights as a landlord? Or will this document (of us giving him to allow him to sublet it) will that be sufficient, in giving him the same position as a landlord. Therefore he can use a lodger contract with her? We only want to use a lodger contract
