Home Office Visa Application and Immigration Fees

  • Posted on

With all the bad news in the press about Covid-19, job losses and the looming recession, it is great for London Immigration Solicitors to be able to report positive news. The Home Office has today announced its visa application and Immigration fees for the remainder of 2020. Whilst the prices of most things in the UK are going up OTS Solicitors are pleased to report that the Home Office visa application and Immigration fees are staying the same in 2020 and health care visa fees have actually gone down in price. In this blog we look at the Home Office imposed government fees for visa applications.

Home Office Immigration fees

Many visa applicants, especially those wanting to enter the UK on work visas or business visas question the level of fees paid to the Home Office to process their visa applications especially as the government has said that it wants to attract the brightest and the best to the UK. To some visa applicants the Home Office fees seem excessive when taking into account that often the visa applicant is applying for a job where there is a UK skills shortage and the visa holder will be contributing to the UK economy by paying income tax and national insurance payments.

Whilst OTS Solicitors can't justify the level of fees charged by the Home Office to process visa applications we are pleased to report that Home Office fees are mainly staying the same in the Home Office released announcement on Immigration fees.
